WEDECO TAK 55 HP
The WEDECO TAK 55 was specifically engineered for the disinfection of wastewater in open channels. In over 1,000 installations worldwide, this modular and therefore highly effective systems has demonstrated its effective, reliable performance.
The WEDECO TAK 55 can deal with all kinds of effluent qualities such as combined sewer overflows, primary, secondary, lagoons and tertiary wastewater reclamation and reuse.
The modular TAK design ensures compliance with a large variety of disinfection requirements, e.g. USEPA standards for discharge, NWRI guidelines for reuse, etc.
WEDECO TAK 55 lamp module
The WEDECO TAK 55 lamp modules stand out with their robust, hydraulically optimized design. Highly efficient UV lamps are arranged to create an intense, uniform irradiation field. The result is an unmatched disinfection performance under all design conditions.
Depending on lthe actual wastewater quality, different lamp arrangements (centerlines) are available. The result is a perfect match of the UV disinfection system with the plant's effluent quality.
The most effective solution
Equipped with the Spektrotherm® technology, the WEDECO TAK 55 provides more UV-C output per lamp for disinfection than other UV systems with low-pressure UV lamps. As a result, the number of lamps and the footprint requirements are considerably lower.
Automatic wiping system keeps the quartz sleeves crystal clear
The automatic wiping system prevents the formation of organic and inorganic deposits on the protective quartz sleeves. The chemical-free wiping system is using Teflon/Viton wiper rings to keep the quartz sleeves clear. In addition, two brushes clean the UV sensor head automatically as they are attached to the pneumatically driven wiping system.
Vario dose control: Never use more power than required
The Spektrotherm® lamps are powered by the latest electronic ballast technology and controlled by a highly selective calibrated UV intensity sensor. Based on the actual UV dose requirement, the lamp power setting is varied between 50 and 100%, resulting in the lowest power consumption possible.
The ballast are located in electrical enclosures to ensure optimum operating conditions and easy access at any time.
WEDECO TAK 55 Outdoor
The TAK 55 Outdoor is the solution for customers who prefer an open channel design completely installed outdoors.
The single enclosure installed across the channel minimizes footprint requirements and contains all electronic components such as ballasts, control, power distribution and the integrated junction box. All connections between systems components are pre-wired in the factory resulting in minimum installation time.
Various UV design approaches
The modular TAK design ensures compliance with a large variety of disinfection requirements, e.g. USEPA standards for discharge, NWRI guidelines for reuse, etc.
For the correct sizing either calculated UV dose models such as PSS (Point Source Summation) or biodosimetric validation test results can be applied. Bioassays have been conducted for reuse applications according to NWRI and for secondary discharge according to a protocol based on latest USEPA design guidelines.
In addition, site-specific pilot test can be performed to ensure safe disinfection of special water qualities.
